The Drop Point Apparatus (ASTM D566) is designed for precise dropping point determinations in greases and lubricants. This test identifies the temperature at which a liquid drop first falls from a specially machined metal cup, indicating the highest temperature at which the grease can perform effectively. Commonly used for quality control and material identification, this equipment ensures accurate and repeatable results.
