OXIDATION CHARACTERISTICS

ASTM D 943 – For Inhibited Mineral Oils
ASTM D 2274 – For Distillate Fuel Oil (Accelerated Method)
ASTM D 2893 – For Extreme Pressure Lubrication Oils.
  • ASTM D-943 For Inhibited Mineral Oils – This test method covers the evaluation of the oxidation stability of inhibited steam-turbine oils in the presence of oxygen, water, copper and iron metals at an elevated temperature.
  • ASTM D-2274 For Distillate Fuel Oil (Accelerated Method) – This test method covers the measurement of the inherent stability of middle distillate petroleum fuels under specified oxidizing conditions at 950C.
  • ASTM D-2893 For Extreme Pressure Lubrication Oils – This test method covers the determination of the oxidation characteristics of extreme-pressure fluid lubricants, gear oils or mineral oils.
  • Common Constant temperature oil bath, Inner stainless steel & outer powder coated.
  • Six place model with flexible flow meter choice.
  • Equipped with oil immersion heaters, circulatory system, lid with six openings to receive 6 test assembly & drain cock.
  • Temperature range above ambient to 180°C, +1°C. Rating 2.5 kw.
  • Flow meter arrangement consisting of 6 flow meters with needle valve to precisely  regulates Oxygen flow rate at 3 L/H with an accuracy of +0.1 L/H. The assembly conforms to ASTM D-943. (Oxygen cylinder not provided).
  • Flow meter arrangement consisting of 6 flow meters with needle valve to precisely regulates Oxygen flow rate at 3 L/H with an accuracy of +0.3 L/H. The assembly conforms to ASTM D-2274. (Oxygen cylinder not provided).
  • Flow meter arrangement consisting of 6 flow meters with needle valve to precisely regulates Compressed Air flow rate at 10 L/H with an accuracy of +0.5 L/H. The assembly conforms to ASTM     D-2893.
  • Set of six Oxidation cells consisting of six test tubes, six Oxygen delivery tubes, six condensers, all conforming to ASTM D-943 & ASTM D-2274.
  • Set of six air delivery tubes of 41 +0.5mm inside diameter and 600mm in length with slotted corks, all conforming to ASTM D-2893.
  • Accessary pack : Two support rings, sampling tube holders, sampling tube spacers, stainless steel sampling tubes, stoppers and oil level indicator strips.
  • Low metalloid  steel catalyst wire (1.59mm dia) cut in 3 mtrs length pack of six.
  • Copper catalyst wire (1.63mm dia) cut in 3 mtrs length pack of six.
  • A set of six electronic digital temperature indicators with PT-100 sensor and clamping to indicate cell temperature.
  • Diaphragm oil less compressed air pump to use with ASTM D-2893 test.
